Seller's Agent

When a Real Estate Company is a "sellers" agent it must do what is best for the Seller of a property. This relationship is established through the "listing agreement" that the seller signs. It spells out the details of the property, how long the listing contract is to last and the Companies remuneration or commission that the seller will pay for an accepted offer/sale.

A sellers agent must tell the seller anything known about a customer/buyer. For instance if a sellers agent knows that a customer/buyer is willing to offer more for a property, that information must be shared with the seller. Although confidential information about the seller cannot be discussed, a customer/buyer working with a sellers agent can expect fair and honest service from the sellers agent and disclosure of all pertinent information about a property.
